Pre-Nuptial Agreement

Where there are significant assets to protect, it is smart to have a pre-nuptial agreement define the rights and responsibilities of the parties before they enter into a marriage. These agreements specify what happens with the parties assets in the event of a termination of the marriage as well as the death of one of the parties. Increasingly, these agreements are not just for the rich and famous but are appropriate especially where there are children from a prior relationship. We have drafted many such agreements, both simple and complex. Instead of being unromantic these agreements can actually smooth the marriage by clarifying the expectations of both parties and putting those concerns behind them so that more romantic interests may be pursued without looking back.
